Saints…. Pray for us!

The school human resource officer left on top of my table a blank form that we need to fill up in order signify our intention if we are going to continue or discontinue our service for the next school year. That would be difficult for me to give up the institution that I used to embrace for almost four years of my teaching job. I considered KHS as my second home, I am very thankful for this opportunity to be part of the school’s progress and and be part of the students’ learning development. I thank them for believing in my capacity to lead the students with their academic and extra-curricular activities.

To be more guided with my decisions in life I asked for the intercession of some saints for God to hear my prayer and to show me the right direction to attain my purpose in life.

“The missionaries will have to understand that they are stones hid under the earth, which will perhaps never come to light, but which will become part of the foundations of a vast, new building.” -Saint Daniel Comboni

I am for God alone .”
“Alone I can do nothing, but with God I can do everything.”
“Where there is no room for the poor, Neither there is room for me.”
“I would go to the ends of the earth in search for souls.”
“The world is too small for my desires.”

If I were to meet the slave-traders who kidnapped me and even those who tortured me, I would kneel and kiss their hands, for if that did not happen, I would not be a Christian and Religious today… –  Saint Josephine Bakhita

The Lord has loved me so much: we must love everyone… we must be compassionate! – Saint Josephine Bakhita

“He excused the faults of others. He forgave the bitterest injuries, convinced that he deserved much severer punishments on account of his own sins. He tried with all his might to redeem the guilty; lovingly he comforted the sick; he provided food, clothing and medicine for the poor; he helped, as best he could, farm laborers and Negroes, as well as mulattoes, who were looked upon at that time as akin to slaves: thus he deserved to be called by the name the people gave him: ‘Martin of Charity.'”

“We have received baptism, entrance into the Church, and the honor of being called Christians. Yet what good will this do us if we are Christians in name only and not in fact?”-St. Andrew Kim Taegon

“If we look forward to receiving God’s mercy, we can never fail to do good so long as we have the strength. For if we share with the poor, out of love for God, whatever he has given to us, we shall receive according to his promise a hundredfold in eternal happiness. What a fine profit, what a blessed reward! With outstretched arms he begs us to turn toward him, to weep for our sins, and to become the servants of love, first for ourselves, then for our neighbors. Just as water extinguishes a fire, so love wipes away sin.” – Saint John of God

Thank God for some friends who unselfishly gave me advices.
